Insider tip: Jaegersborggade in Norrebro

Jaegersborggade is the most authentic street in Copenhagen and a well-kept secret for tourists. The pedestrian street in Norrebro is home to Coffee Collective (one of the best coffee shops in Scandinavia), Grood porridge cafe and dozens of small design and clothing boutiques. Just around the corner is the Assistens Kirkegaard: an active cemetery that Copenhageners use as a picnic park, with Hans Christian Andersen and Soren Kierkegaard among the notable graves. Free entry, always open.
