Frequently asked questions
Is CheapTrips free?
Yes, completely. You pay nothing extra. We show live flight and hotel prices and send you via affiliate links to our partners (Booking.com, Vrbo, Hostelworld). They charge you the normal price.
Do I need an account?
No, you can start planning right away. Your trip plan is saved locally in your browser, so it is still there when you come back to the site later. Nothing is stored on our servers.
Are the prices really live?
Yes. We pull hotel prices through Stay22, straight from the Booking.com and Vrbo catalogue. Flight prices open in one click on Google Flights, where you see current prices and booking options.
How does CheapTrips make money?
We receive a commission from Booking.com, Vrbo and Hostelworld when you book via our links. It makes no difference to the price you pay: you pay the same as when you book directly on those websites.
Which destinations can I plan?
Worldwide. All big European cities, popular destinations in Asia (Bangkok, Tokyo, Bali), Africa (Marrakech, Cape Town), North America (New York, Los Angeles, Miami) and more. Type your destination or click a suggestion.
From which airport do I depart?
Schiphol (AMS) by default. Under Adjust plan you can also choose Eindhoven (EIN), Rotterdam (RTM) or Brussels (BRU).
