Flying from Eindhoven Airport
After Schiphol, Eindhoven Airport is the largest airport in the Netherlands and the launch pad for cheap flights with Ryanair, Transavia and Wizz Air. Here you'll find all direct destinations, the sharpest routes and practical tips to save money and time.
Direct destinations from Eindhoven
Eindhoven Airport runs largely on low-cost carriers. Ryanair flies to dozens of cities such as Barcelona, Porto, Budapest, Krakow and Dublin. Transavia serves sun destinations and city breaks like Lisbon, Seville, Faro and Malaga. Wizz Air is strong on Central and Eastern Europe. So you rarely fly with a layover: almost everything from Eindhoven is direct.
Cheapest destinations from Eindhoven
The sharpest fares are usually on the Ryanair and Wizz routes to Eastern Europe and Portugal. A return to Krakow, Budapest or Porto can drop below 60 euro outside peak season. Spanish sun destinations are cheapest in the shoulder seasons (April-June, September-October). Type your destination into the trip planner and set Eindhoven as your departure point to see the live price.
When to book for the best price
For cheap flights from Eindhoven: book European city breaks 6 to 12 weeks ahead and sun holidays 3 to 4 months in advance. Tuesday and Wednesday are usually the cheapest departure days. Read more in our guide on when to book flights.
Parking at Eindhoven Airport
The smartest move is to reserve parking online in advance, which is far cheaper than the barrier rate. P1 is within walking distance of the terminal and the most expensive; the shuttle car parks a little further out are the best value for a week or more. Arriving by public transport? Bus 400 and 401 run directly from Eindhoven Central station in about 25 minutes.
How early should you arrive?
Plan to be there 2 hours before departure. Eindhoven is a compact airport, but during peak holidays and early-morning flights the security queue can build up considerably. Travelling with hand luggage only and checked in online? You'll usually be fine with 1.5 hours.
Hand luggage per airline
Pay close attention to hand luggage rules, because Ryanair, Transavia and Wizz Air differ a lot and paying at the gate is expensive. A small bag under the seat is almost always free; a trolley in the overhead locker costs extra on most low-cost tickets. We list the exact sizes and weights in our hand luggage guide.
