When is the best time to visit Vigo?
June and September are the best months for Vigo: 18 to 22 degrees, pleasant swimming weather and fewer tourists than the busy summer months. In September the albarino wines and oysters are at their finest, fresh after the summer harvest. July and August are warmer (20 to 25 degrees) but busier, and the Cies Islands fill up quickly. Avoid November to March as Galicia is rainy and grey.

- Monte do Castro The park around the old fortress above the city, with the finest panoramic views over the Ria de Vigo and the Cies Islands in the distance.
