Tirana has a Mediterranean climate. April to June and September to October are ideal: 18 to 26 degrees, dry and pleasant without the summer heat. In July and August it climbs to 30 to 35 degrees, perfect as a gateway to the beaches of the Albanian Riviera in the south. Winters are mild at 8 to 14 degrees and rarely drop below freezing, though it can rain heavily.
