Tenerife works all year, as the coast is always 20 to 29 degrees. That makes winter the prime winter-sun period for travellers escaping the cold; the sea is then around 20 degrees. On Teide there is sometimes snow in winter and it is much colder, so bring warm clothes if you go up.

From Eindhoven and Schiphol you fly direct to Tenerife South (TFS) in about 4.5 hours, with TUI, Transavia and Corendon. The TITSA bus with the rechargeable ten+ card costs from 1.25 euro, the airport bus 343/111 takes you to the resorts.
