April and May are the golden months for Jerez: temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, the orange gardens in bloom and the Feria del Caballo (Horse Fair, in 2026 from 9 to 16 May). The fair is free to enter and is a spectacle of Andalusian riders, flamenco dresses and fino sherry. Summer is extremely hot (35 degrees or more) and less suitable. September and October (20 to 28 degrees) are a good alternative, with the grape harvest in the bodega districts. The MotoGP at the Circuito de Jerez is on 26 April 2026 and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors.
