April to June and September to October are ideal: pleasant temperatures around 20-25°C and fewer crowds. July and August are warm (30°C+) and more expensive. December and January are the cheapest months, hotels often go for less than €60 per night.

Porto

April to June and September to October: 18 to 25 degrees and little rain. July and August are busy and warm. November to March is quiet and very cheap, with a chance of rain.
