January and February are the cheapest months: flights and hotels up to 40 percent cheaper than summer, and the city is significantly less crowded. The downside is cold (typically around freezing) and little sunshine. March and April are excellent alternatives: affordable prices, the city waking up and longer days. September and October offer the best value: pleasant autumn weather, lower hotel prices than summer and beautiful autumn colours in the parks. Avoid Christmas and New Year: the Christmas markets draw huge crowds and hotels double their prices.
Cheap flights to Prague from the Netherlands
Ryanair flies direct from Eindhoven (EIN) to Prague (PRG) in around 1 hour 20 minutes. In low season, return flights are available for less than €70 when booked early. Transavia and easyJet fly from Amsterdam at comparable prices. KLM also flies daily from Amsterdam but is typically more expensive. Tip: flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are on average cheaper than weekend flights, and evening flights are often more affordable than morning departures.
