Your 3-day plan, day by day

  • Day 1: Modernisme and Gaudi Start at Sagrada Familia (book tickets in advance, approx. €35). Walk along Casa Batllo and Casa Mila on Passeig de Gracia. Evening: tapas and vermouth in the Eixample neighbourhood. Insider tip: visit Sagrada Familia at opening time (9 am) to avoid the midday crowds.
  • Day 2: Gothic Quarter, beach and Montjuic Start your day in the Barri Gotic: wander through medieval lanes, visit the cathedral (free) and Placa Reial. Afternoon: walk through La Barceloneta to the beach. Evening: cable car or funicular up to Montjuic for panoramic views at sunset (approx. €13 return).
  • Day 3: Park Guell, Gracia and El Born Visit Park Guell early in the morning (reserved entry approx. €10, free in the rest of the park). Stroll through the bohemian Gracia neighbourhood. Afternoon: Picasso Museum (approx. €14) in El Born, followed by tapas at Mercat de Santa Caterina.
